Anti-Spam Policy
What constitutes spam?
In the realm of electronic messaging, spam denotes unsolicited, bulk, or indiscriminate messages, typically dispatched for commercial purposes. The term “electronic messaging” encompasses emails, instant messaging, SMS, and other mobile phone messaging, excluding normal voice-to-voice communication via telephone.
An electronic message may be deemed spam if it:
- Holds a commercial nature, suggesting a commercial transaction, such as goods or services for sale, or merely guiding the recipient to a location where a commercial transaction could occur.
- Is dispatched without the prior consent of the recipient.
- Fails to provide accurate information about the sender.
- Lacks a functional unsubscribe facility.
Freedom Financial commits to taking all necessary and reasonable measures mandated by relevant current Spam legislation to ensure that any commercial electronic messages dispatched do not qualify as spam.
Consent
Freedom Financial endeavors to obtain consent before sending electronic commercial messages about its products and services. Consent may be acquired through various means, including subscribing to our mailing list, completing a form, checking a consent box on our website to receive advertising or messages, consenting over the phone, or through shared business sectors. In instances where obtaining consent before sending electronic commercial messages is impracticable, we reserve the option to infer consent.
Inferred consent may arise:
- Through an existing business or other relationship with Freedom Financial, where there is a reasonable expectation of receiving commercial electronic messages.
- Via conspicuous publication of a work-related electronic address accessible to the public or a section of the public.
- When the subject of the message is directly related to the role or function of the recipient and the address is not accompanied by a statement indicating no desire for commercial messages.
Identification
Every commercial electronic message dispatched by Freedom Financial will include clear and accurate identification information about the company, the sender of the message, and how to contact us. We undertake reasonable steps to ensure the accuracy of this identification information for a period of 30 days after the recipient receives the electronic commercial message.
Unsubscribing Policy
In compliance with Spam legislation, every commercial electronic message must contain a functional and legitimate ‘unsubscribe’ facility. This facility provides recipients with an electronic address to indicate their preference not to receive further messages.
Freedom Financial ensures that:
- All commercial electronic messages include a functional way for recipients to unsubscribe from future messages.
- Unsubscribe links remain functional for at least 30 days after the original message is sent.
- Unsubscribe requests are honored within five working days.
- Unsubscribing is at low or no cost to the recipient.
If you receive a message from Freedom Financial that does not adhere to the above standards, please contact us, and the matter will be promptly investigated and resolved.
